Cupcake A la Mode Moves to Plaza
Cupcake businesses are seeing some sweet success. One Kansas City cupcake shop hopes to see more business after moving to the Plaza.
Cupcake a la Mode is moving its store to the heart of the Plaza and will be located across from Houston's near 47th & Broadway. The store hopes to attract more shoppers and diners looking for dessert. Cupcake a la Mode expects to sell about 5,000 cupcakes over this Valentines Day weekend.
The move will come after their busiest time of year.
"It's like the black friday for the cupcake stores," said Caroline Nolte with Cupcake a la Mode. "I mean everybody wants to send a cupcake to a loved one and who doesn't want a cupcake for valentine's day."
The shop says its "Better than Sex" cupcake with chocolate and raspberry is one of the hottest sellers right now.
